Inner OctagonOK, the 1/4" Volara padding has been cut roughly to size and the 3M 77 spray adhesive has been applied to the top. Now we just roll the padding into place. |
||

Now roll the padding on and press it down firmly.

Trim the padding and let it dry for 30 minutes or so.

Time for the final step -- cover the inner octagon and padding with the "ultra-soft velveteen". It's already been rough cut to size.

Boy oh boy, that's gonna be nice.

Stretch, staple, stretch, staple, stretch, staple, stretch...

Perfect. | ||

Final TouchAfter the table top was finished, one of our more esteemed players noted that a very important element was missing. That has now been fixed. |
||
| 1. Biscuits alone will not properly join the 1"x10"x8' outer octagon pieces. Use brackets in combination with biscuits (and lots of glue, of course). 2. Don't use pegboard (or solid pegboard) if you need to drive staples into it. Use 1/4" plywood instead. 3. Don't cut the holes for your cup holders until you HAVE the cup holders. |
